April fishing is going great!
April 11, 2011
We here in Sheridan are having a great start to fishing. I have landed several fish 18 and over already. Not that I count fish because I generally don’t, but I can safely say I have landed over 50 fish in the past few weeks of open water. I will be fishing Piney Creek or a reservoir on Wednesday and hope to add some large fish to the 2011 season. By the end of summer I will likely land several thousand fish, all of which I will gladly release to catch again. This update is just a blog of current events and summer aspirations. If you have not gotten out yet. What is holding you back. Get out there!
Many of the lakes, reservoirs and creeks are open and ready to fish before run off happens. There is a lot of snow in the Rocky Mtns. as well as the Bighorns, so expect a long run off. Why wait to July to get your first days of fishing in. Tongue Canyon, Clear Creek, Ten sleep Creek, Shell Canyon, the Bighorn, Wind River and the Shoshone are all ready for you, pre-runoff.
