Run off has started

Run off in the Bighorn mountains has started. The creeks are running heavy and there is a ton of snow still in the mountains. Burgess Junction is usually clear of most snow by now, but there is still about 3 feet of snow there. We hope the next two to three weeks clears off the majority of show, but I think the run off will continue into July this season. I am hoping it will just be the first two weeks, but we are getting a couple of cold days before it warms up again. The creeks are high and muddy down low, which leaves us only the lakes and reservoirs to fish. I went out this morning and caught two nice rainbows one 2 pound fish and a 3.5 pound fish. The bigger fish were hanging around, but I could not get them to take my flies. I did see some 5-7 pound fish, but they were just swimming laps.
